Gravestone for Gumattius

" Marcus Traianius Gumattius, son of Gaisio, veteran of the cavalry cohort of the Africans, has [this stone] erected by will." The cohort was sent to the nowadays Netherlands to suppress the Batavian uprising (69-70 ad)
