Gold aurei with the first 12 Caesars (emperors)
Inspired by the 12 biographies by the second-century writer Suetonius, the 12 aurei were mounted in a matching pair of bracelets in the nineteenth century.
The first bracelet contains aurei of:
Julius Caesar, Augustus,Tiberius, Caligula, Claudius and Nero.
The second:
Galba, Otho, Vitellius, Vespasianus, Titus and Domitianus
