The Phoenicians traded with having to speak foreign languages. They exposed the goods they wished to sell and waited for the other party to put their payment offers against the goods they wished to buy. If the trader were satisfied about an offer they removed the payment. If the other party id not wish to raise their payment, the Phoenicians reloaded their merchandise that was not accepted.
