Mycene museum

This museum is a part of the excavation. Although Mycene was a civilization long before the Romans became aware of their own existence, it became else a part of their empire. It shows also that civilization existed and beautiful artifacts were made when the Romans still dressed in bearskins.
Most of the objects in this museum are copies. The originals were dragged away to the national museum in Athens. The collection exists mainly in objects found in graves.
