Metropolitan (New York)
The judgement of Paris

by Lucas Cranach the Elder Prince Paris of Troi is asked by Venus, Hera and Athena to give a golden apple to the most beautiful of the three. He chooses Venus, who had promised him the most beautiful woman in the world, and angers the other two. He seduces Helena, though married to Tyndareus and takes here to Troi. This was the cause of the Trojan war.See also Aeneis
