The Castores (Gr:. Dioskouroi) Castor and Pollux (Gr.: Castor and Polydeuces where very popular as gods helpful to men. One of the first monumental structure in Rome was the temple dedicated to Castor and Pollux after they brought victory to the dictator A. Postumius in the battle at lake Regilus
