Hercules and Nessus



Myth in short: Nessus the centaur crosses the river with Deianeira Hercules's wife first. There he tries and rape her. Hercules crosses the river and kills Nessos. Then Nessos tells Deianeira to take some of his blood and use it to ensure Hercules' eternal love for her. In doing so she kills Hercules, who then is granted eternal life on the Olympus.
